Silas Mokoele - Chairman
Silas graduated with a National Higher Diploma in Extraction Metallurgy as well as a Management Development Programme from Witwatersrand University in 2004. His vast experience at senior and executive management level was acquired at major mining companies Anglo American Platinum , African Rainbow Minerals and Atlatsa Resources.
He managed both brownfield and greenfield operations with high level of success across all levels of the business, participating in budgeting, long term plans and corporate strategy. He has an immense experience in Gold processing and Smelting, acquired at JCI.
He spent a large part of his career at Amplats managing concentrating process, smelting process for both base and precious metals refinery processes. He has also done a lot of work in Chrome processing in terms of designs and processing. Silas is a member of Southern African Institute of Mining and Metallurgy and The Mine Metallurgical Managers Association of South Africa ( He also served as a council member of the MMMA).
Elton Maswanganyi - Chief Executive Officer
Elton graduated with Baccalaureus Technologiae in Metallurgical Engineering. He has vast experience and knowledge in PGM and Chromite beneficiation processes. He was instrumental in introducing the XRT Sorting technology in chromite beneficiation.
He conducting the first ever successful XRT Sorting test work on a MG 2 and LG 6 chromite ore body, and played a hug technical role in the installation and commissioning of one of the two first Sorting Plants. He has a strong operations background, was instrumental in the operations and optimizing 10 beneficiation plants, involved in commissioning of 3, rescuing of 2 and managing of 5 chromite plants.
Elton has worked for the following companies, Sylvania Metals, Samancor Chrome and Sail Group He is currently the CEO of Menton FUCO and the Director of Research and Projects Development of Ayana Group of Companies.
Mylin Pather - Metallurgical Manager
Mylin graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree from Natal University in 1988, holds a Metallurgical Engineering Diploma, MDP and a safety accreditation from Du Pont. He has strong Metallurgical operational based experience spanning 31 years, working for Anglo American, BHP, Amava Chrome, Samancor and currently Industrial Sandbox.
His passion and interests lie in mineral beneficiation and applying best fit technology to maximise recovery and reduce cost of production He was heavily involved in the commissioning of the first WHIMS and XRT sorting plants in the Chrome space within South Africa. His key focus is on mineral beneficiation from waste streams, low grade ore bodies and the application of environmentally friendly technologies.
Craig Meadway – Lead Engineer
Craig graduated with a Baccalaureus Technologiae in Mechanical Engineering from the Tshwane University of Technology in 2003 and has filled various roles that include engineering and management positions. Craig has worked in numerous industries including Mining R&D, Materials Handling, Water Wastewater and Process Plant Design before ending up at Outotec where he was Manager of Equipment Supply Projects.
In 2015 he started P2E to offer turnkey projects to the mining industry and Industrial Sandbox in 2022.
